An Election Inspector must be ...
 * a qualified and registered elector of the state of Michigan,
 * 18 years of age or older; however 16 or 17 year old's may be appointed as an additional precinct inspector, and
 * trained every 2 years.

You cannot be an Election Inspector if ...
 * you have been convicted of a felony or election crime,
 * any member of your 'immediate family' is a candidate at the election (Immediate family means: father, mother, brother, sister, spouse or any relative residing in the same household.)  An Exception is a precinct delegate candidate can be an Election Inspector if they are serving in a precinct other than the one they reside in, or
 * you are a known active advocate of a political party other than the one you declare on your application.
