Candidates for county convention delegate (Precinct Delegate) file an Affidavit of Identity for the August primary. Filing submitted to the clerk of the county in which candidate resides. Withdrawal deadline elapsed at 4:00 p.m. on May 11. (MCL 168.624, 624a)

The deadline to file challenges against the validity and geniuneness of signatures on a petition was May 1, 2018 at 5:00p. A Sworn Complaint was filed on May 1st at 4:40p against Nominating Petitions filed by 62nd district State Representative Democratic candidate Jim Haadsma. In accordance with MCL 168.552 an investigation was commenced, and a Staff Report was prepared. A final determination will be made by the County Election Commissioners regarding the challenges to and sufficiency of these petitions. (meeting date to-be-determined)
