The Calhoun County Board of Commissioners has designed millage funds, approved by Calhoun County voters, to be utilized for the purpose of providing funds for planning, coordinating, evaluating, and providing services to Calhoun County residents aged 60 and over. Annually, a request for proposal process determines what agencies and services will be funded. The funding provides for the needs of Calhoun County seniors that cannot be met by the resources of the individual, the senior’s family, volunteers, charitable organizations, or through state or federal programs.
Senior millage-funded programs are available to anyone living in Calhoun County who is aged 60 or older. Some programs have additional income and program requirements. Although all of the services are available free to Calhoun County residents, donations are appreciated and help extend what services can be provided.
